ULB Assessment

Background

In an effort to standardize the constitutionally mandated functions of ULBs and to incentivize them towards better performance, the Government of Tamil Nadu has introduced the 'Hon'ble Chief Minister’s Award to the Best Urban Local Bodies (ULB). The performance evaluation exercise seeks to provide essential criteria against which the awards will be decided.

Solution Offered

Development of centralized web based Assessment Questionnaire MIS and Dashboard Application for assessing by MAWS Secretary, CMA, CoC, DoTP, Department heads and respective ULB commissioners.

Parameters were the broad areas that capture the main service delivery functions of the ULBs.The metrics were identified for various tiers of ULBs depending on the actual level of service delivery responsibilities of the ULBs.
